| Kopiemaschiene Probleme! As you probably may have seen there is a problem with the copy machine here. PDFs with images do not print, documents assigned to be printed get lost, and one of the copy machines is just broken. This used to be somehow bearable because you used to be able to print from the Copy Shop, but now the Copy Shop is demanding that we pay 1 euro just to use the computer there, even if you bring the data on a USB stick. You can write your complaint about the copy services here: hotline@HWR-berlin.deWe should suggest that the School hires another Copy shop's services jtdreamworld 4 years, 1 month ago, 0 Comments | |
| jacksonpollock.org (evis) Create your own jackson pollock masterpiece (click the mouse to change color, press shift to show credits). It’s an interesting variation on the various flash drawing tools that are out there. jtdreamworld 4 years, 9 months ago, 0 Comments |

Had a nice interview with Heise (Dr. Diedrich) yesterday at Linux Tag. One thing I had to explain was that its not just about transparency.

| Thoughts about marketing OBP (evis)
Hi together,
I recently joined TeSoBe and so I had a first - kind of clear view - on OBP. My thoughts on the webpage and the pdf "project outline"are: 1. Graphics are looking kind of shabby (sorry simon!) to me. The colours and symbols appear to me as if there is no easy-to-understand-in-the-first-view semantic behind them. This makes the graphics appear unserious and hard to understand. But the graphics in general are imho very important for the whole appearance of the project. 2. On the website and in the other promotion material I think it is better to have different versions of a text for different target audiences (like banks, consumers, developers, public, research, etc). In these you can address the arguments for OBP to that specific domain. Maybe it is good to also have the webpage content been split up logically into these different audiences. 3. Maybe it is helpful to have for every important audience two or three different versions of a promotion text, which distinguish in the length of a text. So you have something like an abstract and a long version. and maybe something in the middle of that. These different versions can be used for various use cases. to be continued.
