Nice visit / some code online :-)

Public source code posted on Fri, 27 Jan 2012 by Simon Redfern

Hi Folks,

We had a nice meeting in Paris with Société Générale today :-)

For our meeting we prepared another demo. A couple of screen shots below:

(also trying a new logo)

There are two components so far:

1) A Scala / Lift application currently using MongoDB to store transaction data.

2) A Python importer that grabs (via Selenium) a csv file from our Postbank account, parses it and pushes it to the OBP Scala API.

There is some simple "mediating" / filtering to demonstrate the concept of showing different views of the data to different people.

We published the code under Apache 2.0 lisense here: :-)

It was pretty rushed to get it ready - so its "warts and all"!

Big thanks to Alex and Everett (and previously Stefan) who worked on this code.

cheers,

Simon.

    Hi, Simon,

at the letter S you find me as a scout of WebFWD, close to the bottom.
    https://webfwd.org/about/scouts/index.html

I was thinking to propose your OBP to them.

Do you want to take part in their support program?

I was thinking, when OBP is ready, you do not need any more the word
    Project.
So in the everyday use, it would be simpler to call it Open Bank or Open
    Bank App or something similar.

    Cheers

    Joseph

    Hi, Simon,

at the bottom of this page

    http://www.dataliberation.org/google/finance

are 2 links which may interest you:
    Information for Developers
A good place to start learning about about CSV is Wikipedia's
    Comma-separated values
    page

Information about the OFX file format can be found at the Open Financial
    Exchange website
    .

Did you think about www.WebFWD.org, whether you want to get their free
    support?

    Best regards

    Hi,

the logo and page design is much more beautiful than the previous ones.

I like it - though I do not see O B P letters in the logo.

With them, it could be even better?

    Cheers

    Joseph

Kudos! great that you've opened up :) I hope you'll take it further. It'd be great that if you can push at least some back to adopt OAuth.
